Quince Preserve

quince preserve

Fall will be here in two days and its fruits already start to appear.

Walking along the fruit banks at the market the other day I felt in love with these wonderful quinces, an ancient  but charming fruit with its irregular shape that recall ancient fairy tales, witches and sweet girls sleeping in the woods.

Beautiful shot! Do you have the recipe Alessandro? My Spanish mother in law makes quince preserves (membrillo) but it never looks like this - usually a pink jelly block.
