Blackthorn Jam Tarts
I continue with this post a series of images dedicated to the forgotten fruits, those fruits that were part of the daily diet of many people in the past but are now gone, supplanted by the almost "industrial" varieties that we find packed and well stacked in supermarkets.
Casola Valsenio, a beautiful town located in the hills behind Faenza, is now home to a twenty-year event that brings these fruits to the attention of the general public: la Festa dei Frutti Dimenticati (the festival of forgotten fruits).
(Alessandro Guerani is a professional photographer specialized in food shooting. He lives in Bologna, Italy, and is available for assignments to create the images you always craved. Read the "About me" or contact him using the "Mail me" in the blog menu above.)
