(if I remember correctly) with the zoom at 200mm.<br /><br />I know a lot of street photographer like to use wide angle lenses because the viewer is brought &quot;inside&quot; the shot but I prefer to catch people in their normal behaviour, it&#39;s a matter of style I think.<br /><br />About the IS question, yes, I use it pretty often and this is the exact reason why I bought the f4 version instead than an old f2.8 without IS. Plus f4 version is also slightly sharper and f4 is enough to get all the bokeh you want wide open when you use the longest focals. Could you say something about the circumstances of how you took it - the nuns seem completely unaware of your presence. <br /><br />Also, were you using the image-stabilized version of the 4L? I ask because I&#39;m considering getting one instead of my dream lens, the 70 - 200 2.8 IS Mk II. The 4L IS is about half the price of the 2.8 IS, at least in the US. <br /><br />Thanks.
